Rain Rain go away....

So I was out canoeing the other night and left the boats on the river bank. Windy stormy night and today as well. 2" or so. At least I tied 'em up a bit:redface: Now where did I leave those waders???
Milwaukee River ( in my front yard) came up quite a bit, like 1.5' so far...

This past spring I did chase a rogue kevlar canoe about 5 miles down the river, never did get ahold of it. Somebody upstream probably did the same silly thing I did....

The river is at 40 degrees right now, boy it makes the feet go numb quick Guess I'll be wearing a goose down PFD for the rest of the year...

someone found a nice 2 man kayak adrift here recently; at first we all assumed the worst but apparently it floated away ( with fish and gear in it).
I think most of us should do this but don't: with your small boats, put your contact info on a laminated card and cable tie it in somewhere. Most boaters are hnonest (I'd like to believe) and would call you about it.

Being as we get flooded out every few years, I've got all my boats labeled with indelible ink on the gunwale with full info. I think that is a good idea for everyone! Including not only the paddle boats but the motorboats as well!
ICE is good to program into your phone as well. EMT's will search you cell for it!

ICE - Like - Immigration and Customs Enforcement? We do get some Cubans floating up from time to time but not often enought to program their number into my phone
