In my haste to get my boat ready, I accidentally hooked up the hoses to my water pump backwards. I then ran the engine for, maybe 5 mins or so, and noticed that the temperature was coming up faster than I expected. It got up to 200 degrees a lot faster than usual. So, I shut the motor down, and realized what I did, let the motor cool off, swapped the hoses, and re-started it. Then the motor ran fine, and everything seems OK.
Is there anything you guys can think of that is worth checking after running the motor with no water? It *seems* fine, but I am still nervous that I could have done some damage that hasn't shown up yet. It is a 3.0L Volvo Penta.
Thanks!
