Re: ranger bay boats or fishmaster?

The Bay Ranger is a NICE boat. I looked at one before purchasing my polar bay 2010. I really like the way the back seats fold up and down to accommodate extra passengers or serve as a fishing platform. The doors and hinges are also second to none with a great fit. However it was a tad bigger than I wanted and the 30K price tag wouldn't leave me with many sheckles left over for gas. I believe I've seen a few fishmasters but can't place the specifics of what they have to offer. Evidently, it didn't leave as much an impression on me as the Bay Ranger.

Polar also has a nice bay series boat in the 20-23 size range you may want to take a look at. It's not a Ranger but a few reviews have flaunted these bay boats for great style, performance, and value.

Kevin

The fishmaster is manufactured by the same firm as Polar......but it is manufactured exclusively for Travis Marine.....not well known for their support......I visited the plant before buying a Polar Offshore and was pleased enough to purchase one in '99.....It has been a good boat with no frills but lots of good features.....About like a Cape Horn....
