All of these are very good, but I get the most info and help here. I didn't list the ones that really suck, because if I don't have something good to say, don't...................... Your favorites?

I have been part of other forums but with lack of time this is the only forum I come to. I can get better info here about anything, than forums that are dedicated to that subject.

This is one of the best forums I have ever encountered. My "religion" is oriented around treating everyone with respect and I have seen so much lack of respect in various forms elsewhere.

Here; all people; young and old...expert to rank beginner gets treated with respect and the level of knowledge on a variety of subjects never ceases to amaze me.

I read a lot of other forums sporadically...but I keep coming back here.

iboats
homesteading forum
weldingweb - been so long I'm probably inactivated by now
lurk/dream at scream and fly

I've been a member of MANY others for one or two posts "Hey, how do you..." kind of posts. I've seen that here but not all that often. (speaking of which has anyone noticed the influx of newbs here recently?)

Here's a few reason I hang out here:
1. I can access all the pictures at work besides photobucket pics (I still don't know what ezmobee's boats look like)
2. Friendly atmosphere
3. Zero danger of accidentally pulling up a post with a NSFW picture
4. Internet use is "frowned upon" at work but a blind eye is turned to friendly sites (READ: If you miss something and administration sees you were on the internet at the time you've got some 'splanin to do)

I'm at a desk 8 hours straight and I'm on here between 2-6 hours a day depending on the day's reports and arrests. It's nice to almost always have something new to read and learn about!

1) iboats

2) BikeSpeak forum

Both very informative and helpful, the iboats takes the civility prize.

All sections of iboats, but the best is the restoration section. This is a new hobby for me, and I never would have even tried restoring my Lone Star without lurking for months here first. Other sites are all hunting and fishing based, not so much technical. I come to iboats for entertainment too.

Re: Rank the Technical Forums that you belong to and are somewhat active in....

During a conversation with sasto, I told him that this is the only form of social networking in which I've ever participated.

This thread has reminded me, though, that I did indeed join a forum prior to iboats. I never wrote a first post, though, so I never really participated in the forum, other than reading the posts of others. The forum is called lightfighters. I don't even recall whether it's .com or .org

I was in the process of getting certified as a tactical medic for a regional SWAT team. One of the medics I work with, told me about this forum, and thought I'd like it due to my military backround. I had logged on and read various threads for a while (over the course of several months); but never even made an introductory post.

As far as I'm concerned, at this point and time, anyway... iboats is not only #1 in my book, it's the only forum in my book.

iBoats (recently as I switched from other forum)
Yamaha Jet Boaters (amazingly active/technical, just sold my LS2000 for I/O so here I am!)
RangeRovers.net These things have issues? I have NO IDEA what you're talking about
landroverforums.com (see above explanation) - mostly for the old Discovery II which is for sale now
