Rattling noise?? 250A/sp volvo penta

I have a 250a /sp volvo penta (aka 151aq) and about a month ago i started hearing a loud rattling noise comming from the engine somewere.

It sounds like metal clicking noise, about 4 times a second, and only is herd
at higher RPMs, and is at its loudest at WOT. sound is coming from engine though.

i have the boat @ home for the winter now so am unable to test in water for a while.

I will be doing alot of matenice/work on her this winter, so any tips on what to check and mantain well im in that area of boat will be aprecaited.

Check the PCV valve. Mine rattles like crazy.
