raw water pump leak?

In my process of changing the oil this past weekend I warmed up the oil on the muffs, I discovered water spraying/ dripping significantly from the impeller housing/ weep hole. I've changed the impeller, o-ring and sealing washer routinely (last time in May of last year becuase of the same problem which fixed it).

I've read elsewhere this could be the pump itself, or that the seal inside the pump needing service, or replace the sealing washer again, or pressure from the hose was too high. (While the motor was running at a tad bit over idle, water was still coming out of the muffs, so maybe it was too high?)

I've had this stubborn leak probably 3 of the 5 years of ownership. What, do you all think, is the recommended, economical repair for this? I'm not crazy about a new pump as it looks like they are ~$600.

The seal is bad, has nothing to do with water pressure. Most of the time if puts water thru the bearing when it fails and the pump is shot. Sorry.

Yuk! New pump huh, no "servicing" of this part? I believe it, just don't want to pay for it...

You can get a pump rebuild kit, contains new shaft, bushings and seal.
