raw water pump

In summerizing the boat yesterday, i began to spray water from the raw water pump. i tracked the cause to the hose fitting on the pump. it looks (and feels) like a previous owner had "fixed" this problem in the past by globbing permatex around the fitting.

from the looks of the part, it appears that the hose fittings can be replaced. is this the case? anyone else had this problem in the past?

my engine is a VP 3.0 gsm-c

From the looks of the burned paint on the outside, and the melted black impeller all over the inside from being run dry.
I would say at minimum you need a new housing, and impeller.
