Good everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has ever used, or has any information on Ray Electric Outboards. I was given a mid 80's Monark Mcfast Bass boat and it has one on it. This is great for me as I will be using it on a private lake that doesnt allow gas motors after I restore the boat.
I dont expect to fly across the water, but I have no idea what to expect as far as speed goes, battery life, how these motors work in lakes with hydrilla, etc.
I also wanted to ask about the batteries. Ray's website suggests using golf cart type batteries, but I was wondering what their advantage is over using a normal deep cycle battery.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
