Yeah, there is something. There's a weird little gear on the shaft that runs from the base of the tiller arm to the throttle tower. This gear links the tiller arm to the throttle shaft, so when you tilt up the tiller arm you can still work the throttle. With the "pointer" in place, there's no need for that gear so they don't use one.<br /><br />Get the gear or better yet, the gear attached to the throttle shaft. Their pinned or piened (can't remember) but it's a real problem to pull the gear off the shaft.<br /><br />Other than that, you basically unbolt the pointer housing and bolt on the arm. Get the castlated/drilled nut, washers, and slotted bolt that comes with the arm so you install it easily.<br /><br />If you need, I think I could post a photo.
