Re: Access to inboard tank!!
Here's my dilemma. Let me start by saying my boats enclosed, plastic, tank is under the front deck. There's a breather at the V of the deck and the gas cap toward the rear of the deck. I recently switched from the portable tank to this tank as it was empty when I purchased the boat last yr and wasnt sure the condition of it. I've been putting cleaner in w the non-ethanol gas to break down any varnish that may b in the tabl. The last few times I cleaned my 40 Micron glass filter before the Racor I'm actually pulling out leaves and a couple times on the water my bulb went flat cuz something is getting lodged at/in the pickup line inside the tank. There is no access hole on the deck where the sending unit is for access to the inside of the tank, only a side port where the L is for the fuel line. How safe is it to cut an access hole into a front deck gas tank because its clear I need to get inside to clean out the tank.
Thank you
Phill
