Re-sealing the gimbal. Can someone reccomend a good silicone?

Can anyone reccommend a good silicone sealer to re-seal the gimball ?<br /><br />Mine has the rubber o-ring on it, but I'm told I should also use a quality sealer as well.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />H.

Silicone RTV is fine, but 3M #5200 lasts longer,is cheaper,and adheres better.It's the stuff many marinas use to mount outboards with.
