Quicksilver Prop Exhaust Seal Ring 878421 - iboats

On something like a 5.7 MPI 300 HP engine/B1 with thru hub exhaust, will running a small diameter prop with one of these seal rings increase back pressure on the engine to the point that there is any problems with either exhaust or cooling water flow?

I can't see a blow out ring causing you any problems on that setup. The small barrel prop is only about a 1/2? difference in diameter and I can't see that adding much exhaust restriction at all. Guys run the small barrel Trophy Pluses all the time on 250HP outboards with no problems.
