Hi;
I am new here but since reading the forum I see this is the place for information. I have a '89 Lund tyee 1850 with a 1992 Merc 150 and a 1992 Merc 8. I will be looking for a SS prop (on 150) and plan to keep checking here for info. I got a prop from a friend which has nothing to do with my boat but I am trying to find out how to read info on a prop as I may use it on a trade. What does 48-89802-21 tell me (etched nearby is 9616) I think. Is there a source for checking these numbers? Thanks.

Re: reading a prop number

The 48- number is the Merc part number. The 21 at the end means it's a 21 pitch. The other number may mean it's been repaired and that's the repair shop's number.
