Rear Axle Fluid Capacity?

I just replaced the bearings and seals in the rear axle on my 1995 Chevy van. So far I've put in 2 quarts of 80W-90 gear oil and it still isn't coming out of the fill hole. Does anyone know how much it takes? Thanks - Chuck

Mine 3/4 4x4 chey 4 quarts. Go to autozone click on specs and will tell you.

You should be pretty close. Most 7.5" 10 bolts hold almost a full gallon when bone dry and about 3 quarts when opened up.

Checked out autozone and they say it takes 3 1/4 quarts.
