rear main seal

Can anyone give me some advice on how to remove the rear main seal in a Ford 302 block, I have a 1979 block that has the split seal. The cap and the block.

cilento, <br /><br />engine out, remove crank. <br /><br />In my opinion, once you are in that deep, maybe bottom end rebuild? Depends on condition of motor but I would hazzard a guess it hasn't had tlc for a long while.<br /><br />Aldo

I believe proctologist are able to do it through the propeller
