Anyone here do any TV repairs?
I have a Proscan 52" PS52650 with a CTC169PH Chassis. When I press the power button I get nothing but a single click noise. No Startup or video or sound! I checked the power feed fuse and it is good. What should I look at next?

Dunno about your particular set, but I leaerned the hard way once that there is a ballast resister (kinda like a fuse) that goes if there is a surge. I forget what kinda TV it was in, but it was $110 lesson that I remembered.

The reasons could be endless.

I fixed an old projection screen once. Well, I helped. It ended up being a resistor on the board. A tiny part in a big machine. But who knows, I mean that could be anything.

Thanks for your replies guys. I managed to find a service manual for the tv so I have to get busy with my multimeter. I also found a repair kit which includes some small parts known to fail on this chassis.

Got the repair kit did some soldering and replaced the HV splitter.
Total cost of repair-$60.
Cost of TV-$0.
Enjoyment-priceless.
