Rear Seat

i would like to open up my rear seat up and make storage out of it.. pretty easy i know but it has foam blocks under it.. will i need to add some foam to it?? i plan on making the center of it into a either storage or a livewell.. would this be too far back for a livewell??

boat is a 1975 polarcraft jon boat with a front deck and a rear bench seat..

you will need to find more space in the stern for foam, or in an incident the engine will sink the stern.
