My fish finder, Lowrance X51, has poor signal. When running the trolling motor, the unit barley picks up bottom and sometimes will not. When running the engine it will not pick up bottom. The depth finder's transducer is right next to the fish finder one and that one works(192kHz). Can I pop my shoot thru hull transducer and try to reattach it or do I need a new transducer? It had an extension cable and yesterday I took that off and ran the transducer cable outside of the boat. It worked better, but still had poor signal.
