reattaching throttle/shift cable

Hello again. I got a new to me boat and am getting ready to sell my old 1979 Johnny 115. I took it off the old boat but to do so I needed to disconnect the steering, and throttle/shift cables.

My question is, can I simply replace it by reversing how I took it off? Or do you think I'll need to make some adjustments. If so, how do I adjust and determine if it is throttling to full power and shifting properly?

Thanks! :)

Re: reattaching throttle/shift cable

No adjust should be required but to verify install equal shif handle travel from neut. to forward as neut. to reverse. and make sure throttle cable pull arm back to idle stop.
Happy boating
