Reattaching Water Hose with Reducer

Hi again.
I am in the process of putting the bell housing back on the boat. On the engine side of the tansom (inside the boat) is the 3/4 plastic water feed pipe that goes to the 1 1/4 inch cooler. The hose is 1 1/4 on both ends. The water feed tube end has a reducer to make it fit the 3/4 inch pipe. Should any bellows adhesive be used to glue the reducer into the hose or on the pipe? Nope, not bellows adhesive. But, you do need to clean all the oil off the contact surfaces where the reducewill meet the hose and the tube. A little rubbing alcohal or power tuner will let the hose slide on easier, then just tighten the hose clamps (don't overtighten) and they will not come apart after the solvents evaporate (minutes)
