fuel/oil mixture 24:1 for the first 10 hours of running. do not go to WOT for the first hour. do not run at one constant speed, vary your rpms. idle 5 minutes, then faster then a little faster, then slow down. etc. it can be a PITA, when you want to make her run like the wind.

For the first 10 hours of operation: If you have disabled the VRO system, run 25 to 1 gas to oil in the tank. On VRO models, you should mix 50 to 1 in the fuel tank. This will add to the normal 50 to 1 from the oil pump during break in only. First 10-15 minutes, operate at fast idle. For the balance of the first hour, bring the boat up to planing speed, but not over 3000-about half throttle. Vary the speed somewhat. Second hour, operate at planing speeds up to 4000 rpm-about 3/4 throttle. A few short bursts of full throttle for a minute are acceptable. Avoid continuous full throttle for the next 8 hours. Check your oil tank level to make sure the engine is consuming oil normally. I'd retorque the cylinder heads after the engine goes through it's first heat/cooling cycle.

Yes thanks, It does have the VRO unhooked, would using synthetic oil be a good idea for break in, and to use full time after the break in?
