Hey everybody,

85 4 cyl, wal 4 carbs, 45 hp classic 50

My bottom carb wasn't getting fuel to the bowl so I ordered up the sierra kit for both carbs. Now the thing I need aa clue on is, the gaskets that were supplied had an extra compared to disassembly. I'm hoping someone knows whats up with it. Both kits have them. The "extra" looks like the fiber flap one but is made from a light black rubber. Yah, I know I should have a manual ...I wrench for a livin at JDeere. But I'd love to rap this up tonight. I'm leaving tomorrow aftrernoon for factory training on combines. LOL.

Have a good weekend,

Its common to include extra gaskets to kits so they cover more than just one application. Just use gaskets that match those you remove.

Bhile- Thanks for the reply

I got them done and took your advice on reassembly just like they came apart. I'm kind of suprised the float levels were set so low. In motorcycle apps. we set carbs level with the gsgt surface just as the spring contacts the float with no load. These had the spring on top of the needle thouogh. Also, the baffle was missing from the top carb??? I don't know but I'll do the linkage and sinc when I get home later in the week. Any thoughts?
