I tore down the motor, then it didn't get back from the machine shop until after I got back from vacation. Soooo my problem is I forgot what exactly the crank bearing surface uses for a bearing. I have new needles, but am I missing something to retain them... keep them under the connecting rod.

This is the crank bearing area in question.

A bearing cage is needed to hold the bearings in place.
Use an assembly grease that melts quick after the motor is assembled.

Just as I suspected. There goes a $70 mistake.
