Rebuilding my 1985 Bay liner, 20.5ft cuddy and am wondering if the rear
seating provides any structural support?
I am making the rear seats removable for fishing room and started to think
if the original seating provided any support.(original looked like F-14's seating
I did not take before pictures)
Any help? Thanks, ken.

Re: Rebuilding question

hello bedrest..

There is no "structural" value of the seating modules.

Replace and replace as desired m8.

Re: Rebuilding question

Thanks for the reply Yacht Dr.

I am turning a pleasure boat into a fishing boat.
Took out the old seating structure(done during stringer and deck replacement)
and made a whole new rear end. Fishing platform and seating like the newer
star craft, seating that removes to give more room:D:D:D
