rebuilt and decarb

I had my 75hp Merc rebuilt in 2001 woyld it still be a good idea to decarbonize it even though I always run wot and idle very little?

It won't hurt if you follow the proper procedures. How many hours do you have on it? If you use synthetic oil, it will stay very clean. Many people decarb every year or two, but there are those that have never done it and have no problems. I will do mine every other season.
