Re: rebulding motor

Hello Navy tender,
I used standard head gaskets on my motor. I believe the low compression gaskets are thicker to reduce compression to enable the use of lower octane fuel. BTW I burn 87 octane gas and all is well. Good luck on your project. Pay attention to detail and cleanliness and it will turn out well.

What smoked your motor?
