Recirculating Pump Leaking

I started to notice a little water in the bilge and wasn't sure where it was coming from. I've narrowed it down to something with the engine recirculating pump. Not sure if it's a gasket, seal, crack in pump, etc. It's not spraying out or anything, just dripping a little. It's weird as it seems to do it more when idling. I replaced my sea water pump last year and it was dripping water (more than the recirc pump) and someone mentioned it's a sign the pump is starting to fail. My question is, does the recirc pump exhibit the same dripping/weeping problems when it starts to go bad? My engine is staying well within the operating temperature and I'm keeping a close eye on it. Can any repairs be done to this pump i.e. impeller and seals, or does the whole assembly have to be replaced? Also, what in the world are the plugs on the pump for? Normally I would think for draining, but the one is on top???

Re: Recirculating Pump Leaking

If the circ pump is leaking out the weep hole, replace it.
