Hi, i am trying to verify the recirculation hose<br />roughting on my '86 120HP Johnson. My OMC service<br />manual is missing this chart. Went to my local OMC dealer and their manual was missing it as well. Not sure what year and/or what size motor <br />might be the same as mine? Maybe someone has a manual that close to my year and size. <br /> thanks

1990 OMC manual, port side hose from top bearing to lower bearing, with a T close to lower bearing with hose going to nipple stb side of block under lower read cage with T and hose going to stb cylinder #3. Cylinder # 1 to nipple under 2nd reed cage from top of block. Cylinder # 2 to nipple under top reed cage. Cylinder # 4 to nipple 3 reed cage from top. Reed cages for cyl 1 and 3 are on port side of engine, reed cages for cyl 2 and 4 are on stb side of engine.

I am confused by your reference to the reed cages.I do know what they are and where they are on the motor but not sure which ones your refering to. You metion "lower cage", "2nd cage",<br />"3 reed cage", and "top cage". See if this matches what you told me - cyclinders 1,2,and 4 go foward from their own cyclinders nipple to the back of it's associated reed cage nipple. <br /><br />Nipples at the very top and bottom of the block are tied together on the port side and as you said teed at the bottom of this hose. Then from this tee a hose goes to a nipple on the bottom stb side under cylinder #3 reed cage which is teed again. From this tee a hose goes onto cyclinder's 3 nipple. <br /><br />My manaul talks about the servicing a 1 way valve<br />that should be in this system somewhere?<br />I have not taken any thing apart yet but it looks like it might be in cylinder #3 reed cage inplace of its nipple. Does your manaul show this?<br /><br /> thanks for all your help

I knew this was going to be tough, have to get my scanner working. Change reed cage to read carbuator. From your post sound like the hoses are connected correctly. The check valve is the brass nipple behind the carbuators.

I think 4, 1 under and behind each carbuator.
