Hi. I've been working on rehabbing a 1956 15 hp. Did a little work yesterday and recoil starter was working fine-pulled out nicely, compression good, etc. Now the starter rope will not budge. It is like it is jammed or something. It is in nuetral position, throttle is on start. Any ideas?

Thanks, Bill

Pull the recoil off...if it works off the motor, you have something bound up or stuck somewhere.

Removed the recoil starter. Working fine. Flywheel is suddenly seized! What could be going on? I tested compression and spark yesterday and it was working great. Good compression, turned over nice... Now it won't turn one hair! Please help with thoughts!

you've probably got the neutral start linkage a little out....back the throttle down and look over on the shift linkage..you'll see how the neutral start lockout works
