Currently working on a new project for my 1984 Hammond Challenger MK II boat and need specs on a new cam.

Currently Jasper Marine 360ci shortblock, Cast crank, rods, pistons w 4cc valve reliefs, AFR 195 Street 73cc 2.02I @ 1.60E, Lunati forged 1.5 roller rockers, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Holley 750 double pumper, current cam is 224/224 .465 114LSA 109ICL HFT. Hi Performance exhaust. I get 8.6-1 SCR with my current setup -4cc pistons and 73cc heads.

The shortblock is good for 5800rpms and I need the new cam to peak at that RPM. Current cam peaks around 5200rpms.

Necessities

5800rpm peak
Cam needs to idle 900 rpm max to save stern drive
Good valve events for 8-8.2 DCR

Have/will you upgrade the exhaust?
Through hull or through prop?

Why the Holley double pumper? A vacumn or air valve secondairy would provide better throttle response. At 5800 rpm even at 100% Volumentric Efficiency that engine could only use 604 cfm. and at 85%, 514 cfm.
