Recommendation - New Trailer

I own a 1999 Glastron GS 205 SF. The trailer is the original Trailerite (I think) tandem axle matched trailer that came with the boat new. It is a square tube style trailer that has served us well.

Unfortunately, it is rotting out. This trailer has served us well and Lake Texoma (unusually high salt content for a freshwater lake) has taken its toll. The brakes quit working about 3 years ago. I have continued to use the trailer because I only pull it about one mile from storage to the ramp.

It is starting to worry me now and am looking for recommendations for a new trailer or where/how to find used trailers.

Thanks in advance

Re: Recommendation - New Trailer

Check with your local trailer dealers and see which one can offer you the best deal to set up a trailer for your boat. The other option is to look for a used trailer with movable bunks and rollers to adjust for your hull. Make sure the axle rating is within the range of your load and consider which size tires you want to pull your boat on. I'm sure your boat weighs 3000lbs or better. Here in MI we are required to have surge brakes on a trailer with the towing weight at 3000 lbs or greater. I don't know if thats a state law or USCG requirment.
