Can I have some recommendations for specific models of cuddy cabin boats?

Looking to upgrade from my 19' cuddy cabin in western ny.
Used on Finger Lakes, and Lake Ontario when waves not bad.
Dont really overnight on it, but require a space for the head.

Probably looking for:
year 2000-2003 (not older than a 2000)
guessing 21-23 foot in size
decent power (dream: 50mph+, but maybe not required)
cockpit seating for six (willing to accept small cuddy)
space for a head,
takes waves better than my current 19 foot
trailerable would be nice

Current tow vehicle rated to tow 5000 with weight carrying hitch, 6200 with weight distributing hitch.

Willing to accept a small cuddy for cockpit seating for six.

I have found used Chris Craft 210/215 and Rinker 232 models with the U-Shaped seating in back which I think would be great seating.

Can anyone suggest other models to check out, either with similar U-shaped seating or other configurations I should consider?

Hi. I boat on the finger lakes and lake Ontario also - glad to have a "neighbor" here on iBoats.

yeah, Lake Ontario is rough in a 19' boat! I'm sure if you go 22'-23' you'll have many more days you can go out on the big lake. Give us a price range to work with. Your search has endless boats that fit the need, so what end of the price scale are you looking for? Most manufaturers have something like that.

Here's one I saw - NOT recommending it, but very interesting boat. older but totally re-done. FUN.

and one a bit more tame....

Not saying those are boats you want, just floating ideas to narrow down what you really want.

With that towing capacity, you are going to be at the bottom of that size range. Something the size of my Wellcraft Eclipse. On the trailer with a full tank I weigh in at 4800lbs.

Price is a funny thing - the same model boat in the same condition I've seen in an $8000 range in this year range. The low priced boats sell within 1 - 3 days, the high priced boats of the same model will remain listed for months.

I figure that a used 2000-2001 will be in the range $15000 - 20000, and that once I find a model I like, I would search hard for one in good condition at a good price and grab it asap.

Thanks for the links and tow recommendations.

Check some of the manufacturers' sites- many have archived specs and sales brochures for their older models. They can be invaluable when you're trying to zero in on the type of boat you want to buy. Searay, Four Winns, Larson, Wellcraft all have that info available. You'll find size, weight, cabin and cockpit layout. A given type of boat tends to be very similar from builder to builder. You can choose the style of boat that appeals to you and work from there.

In your size and price range you have a lot of options- walkaround cuddies, "overnighters", even a few pocket cruisers with full galley and stand-up head.

Good luck and have fun shopping!
