Which aftermarket parts manufacturer would you recommend?

CDI
Sierra
Mallory

Thanks!

GB

P.S. In this particular case I'm looking to order a rectifier but I'll be ordering carb kits, ignition, and and various other things in the future.

All should be OK for electronic parts. I would only use BRP for water pumps, though.

Re: Recommended Aftermarket Parts Manufacturer

I rebuilt the ignition system on my 1972 Johnson 65hp with a combination of OMC parts (coils) and CDI parts (p-pack & timer base). I have run the motor for over 100 hours since and it is still going strong. I also want to replace the stator, even though it is fine, because a few folks have told me that the CDI units do not generate as much heat. I have been meaning to do this for some time but, thanks to $4.00 gasoline, I seem to keep spending the boat budget on "motion lotion."

I would stick with omc if you can get them.
