Good day to all
I have a 1036 Jon-boat which I am in the process of removing the rear bench seat with the intention of installing a pedistal seat.I want to sort of replace the bouyance I lost when I remove the seat.
My thought was/is to glue the foam board to some 1/2' plywood and lay it down as a floor where the seat was.

My question is which one would have the most boyancy per square foot?

Re: Red or blue board foam

I found that Gorilla glue works very well for gluing the pink (Styrofoam) boards together. Gorilla glue says to wet the surface of what you are gluing, but that doesn't work so well with foam board. So I put a few ounces of glue in a disposable cup, then added a maybe 1/4 teaspoon of water per ounce of glue and mix until it turns a honey color, then quick pour it out and clamp the stuff together because the glue is about to foam up and expand about 10 times its volume. But it does glue styrofoam well!
