My Merc (0B248917) dropped dead on me last Saturday and testing is leading me to a bad stator adaptor. Getting voltage from the stator but nothing on the blue wire from the adaptor to the sw/box. Can you buy this part? I am not seeing it listed on any parts lists. Any help would be appeciated.

Re: Red stator adaptor question.

I'm not certain exactly which part you're referring to. Have a look at this link under the electrical components and under the flywheel components. Obviously most of the electrical is under the electrical link, imagine that. :) The stator is with the flywheel components. More than likely these guys will have that part in the diagrams with the model numbers. They may also carry the part in stock. Hope this helps...

Re: Red stator adaptor question.

Thanks for the link. It does not show the part I am looking for or mention if it is even available. Back in 2002, I replaced my original stator with what Merc called a "red stator". This stator came with an adaptor to interface it with the existing switchbox since the stator was different (1 winding instead of 2). It appears this adapter has failed on me leaving me with a non running motor. So I am trying to find out if this adaptor is available without buying a whole stator. I am guessing Merc does not make the red stator anymore.
