Hello all:
I started to redo the carpet on my 82 MV 14 Fisher. Some one has built it up with 1/2" plywood like a bass boat. ( front and back) I removed half of the front to make some more legg room for my sons when we all go fishing. My father says I should remove all the plywood and make it original..I kinda like the build up area it had two holes for pedastool seats.. Does any one know or have some original pictures of what my boat should look like..
They kinda already messed it up the original live well lids are missing... Because of them building over them.. I am thinking of just putting the new carpet back on what I have..
Also they hacked up the driving console put the steering wheel on the top so there is room .. Any one know of any boat junk yards I could get another console top...? Can I move the console forward to make room?? You see they moved the seats up about 6" and it crouds the console that is why they moved the steering wheel to the top.. I am really getting into more than I wanted to.. I was going for a simple carpet replacement... I could post some pic's later .. Any Help or suggestions???
Thanks:
Larry

For pictures of your original setup, try the Fisher iboats forum here http://forums.iboats.com/Fisher_Boats

As for boat junkyards - you'll have to tell us where you're at first. Ebay comes to mind for used parts, but I don't know if you can find something that specific. Sounds like you may have to do some custom fabrication.

Thank you for the reply.. I have checked Ebay and I am watching a few. I live in the Central Ohio area.. I have not heard of any Boat junkyards,...
SO if any one knows that would be helpful.
Thanks:
