Has anyone had any experience refilling their own inkjet cartridges? And is it as easy as they claim. I have a Compaq printer, which is actually a Lexmark, and they are out of sight. am looking at an add here in a catalog (Heartland America) that offers an 84ml bottle of cyan, yellow, and magenta, and two 84ml bottles of black ink plus a cleaning solution, that is supposed to furnish up to 30 refills for $24.99.
Has any one had any experience at this task?

"Has anyone had any experience refilling their own inkjet cartridges? "

I'd rather wrestle a porcupine with rabies than to attempt that little stunt ever again.
Nice concept, but the cartrage manufacturers have employed every known means to foil your efforts.

Thank you gentlemen, exactly what I suspected, and the reason for my asking. That is the great thing about these forums, you can learn so much from the experience of others. No sense in all of us expierencing the same mistakes. :D :D

Do some bargain-hunting on the net. After-market offers often come pretty close to the refill, considering all.

It has been said, that the printer head copes with up to 6 times the amount of ink in the cartridge. I've seen a few and none of these were doing very well at the end of ink portion #1.

If you're into the price per printed page, most reviews will tell you that Canon normally beats the rest. Especially models with separate cartridges so you can replace then individually when need be.

Been refilling for years. Really quit painless. Even if the cartridge is non refillable, it is refillable. Walmart has a good selection of kits...I don't recommend it for color, but B+W works well.... :)
