**mods**please delete 2nd thread** (Done ;) )

new member here i just picked up a boat a couple months ago in which i am gathering lots of parts over winter and doing some work as i go along for spring and summer time! it came with a perfectly good running 1973 evinrude 50 which was painted a hideous grey color. i decided to paint it up. i used normal spray paint and primer and used spray max 2k urethane clear coat. spent hours wet sanding and buffing and polishing it! wanted to post it as some people are skeptical using a rattle can but with some knowledge it really can turn out amazing.

the vinyl stickers looks a little to bright though... maybe once everything is back together and on the boat it wont look so out of place... i hope. eeek lol

looks great...but the gray didn't look hideous either, as a Navy Vet I have a soft spot in my heart for gunship gray!

Nice job man! The logos will look great once the rest of the motor is done and put back on the boat. Cheers

Looks great. It would look totally awesome if it were gray! (Sorry, I just had to).

It seems that talented people can break all the rules and still come away with a great looking finished product. Hats off to you for getting the shakes out and making it look better than factory new.
