Have a 1970 15.5ft Wilker deep V hull.
Present setup on original trailer is a mess. Rollers are shot, and boat is poorly supported, mostly on the keel.
I would like to convert existing roller brackets to bunk mounts and add new keel rollers. Trailer frame is narrower than boat so can't get bunks any wider than about 4 1/2 ft apart under the boat which is 6 1/2 ft wide.
Is this a sound approach? Any better suggestions?
