On my 1986 Johnson VRO the reg/rec blew, when I read the description of the part, (which is 395204), it said Reg/Rec with 35 amp. Is 35 Amps the charging current to charge the battery? Seems like thats high for its era. Hey OBJ, Had an Honest Wrench change that out for only 1 hour in labor, No markup on the part All is well. :) Thanks for the info.

Re: Reg/Rec Charging current

Glad to hear that Old Man.

The 35amp charging system was available on the GT's, XP's and the like. The 35amps is at WOT throttle and varies for engine rpm.

Ain't you gotta go fishin' or sumthin' like that?? :))
