im a new boater, my grandfather gave me a 14 foot alum. row boat and i have a 25 horse outboard for it, im just wondering what the laws are im gettin mixed answers from diff people and im comfused. i need to know if u have to register it and if i need a licence to opperate it please help! im going nuts. and i need to go fishing, by the way im out of CT. if anyone knows the laws around here.!@

hello! i am new to boating myself. to get all of the info i needed for my boat and what the maximum hp for certain waterways, i went to my local fish and game commission. if you go there, they can register it for you, and do many different ythings for you alot cheaper if you went to a dealer!
