Reinforce transom with deep splash well

I own a 15 footer that needs some work on the transom. Although it seems fairly straight forward on some boats, I'm not sure how to tackle the job on mine.

There is a deep splash well blocking the access to the inside portion of the transom. Do I need to cut out the well then glass it back in after the transom as been done? Do I need to cut out the outer portion of the transom and work from outside the boat?

pictures? Or at least the make/model boat you have. On some you pull the top of the boat off to access it.

Can you seperate the top part of the hull with the splashwell in it from the bottom of the hull, which has the transom. That is the best way. Make sure you support the top of the hull in several places, since they are usually fragile.

You also want the bottom part of the hull to remain the correct shape, so do not cut out the floor, except as necessary to rebuild the transom, until you have reinstalled the top of the hull.

It will be easier and neater in the long run if you can remove the entire deck off he hull, assuming similar basic architecture to the ones I've done. Depends on the boat, though, as it isn't always practical...
