Re: remanned 5.7 mercruiser break in procedure help
Nice
A big thing that I've always been told is to vary the throttle position while cruising as to give it a range of RPMs to "get used to".
Then again.. I remember when I first started working on engines when I was 16-ish and this crusty old bracket racer told me with the cigarette bouncing from his lips.. "You know how I break a new engine in? I drive the sh!t out of 'em. That's how."
bahahaha,,,, i can picture the old salt,,,, bahahaha.
so far i am not burning any oil,,,, i have been varying the throttle so that helps. although tempted i havent got her past 2500rpm. did get her on a plane though,,,,, what a difference, before reman it struggled at wot to get on plane. i am lovin the sweet sound of the reman

, and using alot less gas too,,,lol
