Nice :)

A big thing that I've always been told is to vary the throttle position while cruising as to give it a range of RPMs to "get used to".

Then again.. I remember when I first started working on engines when I was 16-ish and this crusty old bracket racer told me with the cigarette bouncing from his lips.. "You know how I break a new engine in? I drive the sh!t out of 'em. That's how."

Don't be scared.. she can take 2/3 throttle in the first 10 hours. In fact, she needs it to break in properly. Go for 3/4 - a hair under WOT after the 10 hour mark while varying it gently..

Make sure you give her a good visual once over either before or after every use! Now is the time when that bolt that wasn't quite snug will back itself out. Check your water neck, your belt tensions, etc etc. Get back there and try and wiggle anything that you can get your hands on. Make extra sure that everything is tight and copacetic..

and tighten hose clamps!

YES

..and use a ratchet on those bolts. On your 20 hour oil change, I would highly recommend putting a ratchet/socket on everything you can and just make extra sure that it's snug.

The 4th or 5th day out after my last engine was replaced, I lost power steering while running. I immediately shut her down and pop the engine compartment.. only to find not only my power steering pump just hanging with the belt off, but a bilge full of water. The main 3/8 bolt that goes through the top of the bracket and the water neck had backed out and water had been shooting out and filling the bilge.. and finally took out the pump. Whoops!

Check those bolts.
