Remote control cables

What cables ( throttle/shift ) are used on late model Yam. V6's ( 98 - 2004 ). Do the Merc cables fit them?? Any info greatly appreciated.<br /><br />

hello<br /> its the universal 3300 type cables with the 10-32 threaded ends. nope merc cables have merc ends. but some mercs use 3300 series with adaptors.<br /> good luck and keep posting

Thanks a million. Didn't have a clue. Was hopeing my Merc cables could adapt and keep same binnacle control. Once again thamks. My cables have Merc ends.<br /><br />
