Remote control handle trim switch replacement

1999 125 hp Mercury ....remote control #88688A25 -I bought a new handle, switch and cover - my issue is the cover #5 that holds the switch in place -I thought it snapped in place -it does not! Do you have to glue it in? and if so what type of glue?

Wish I had an answer for ya, but I cannot find anything on it. I have the same throttle handle and lucky mine still works.

I take it you pulled the old off and it was glued?

Yes they are glued on.
The manual calls for cyanoacrylate adhesive.
