Hi Folks,
This thread is related to my previous thread about losing gear control at the cable level. However, now I have a new problem that's related.
First, the issue in the previous thread was a broken cable. I just picked up new cables to replace my old ones.
Long story short I had to remove all of the gears and gizmos from the remote control box. The screw that held onto the shift cable broke and I had to replace it.
So I put everything back together, test all the parts and everything seemed to work well. Once I mount the control box and test it mounted, The gear that controls the shift cable slips out and I am forced to dismount the control box, open everything back up again, and reset the gear. If I try to re-mount the box the same thing ends up happening.
Is anyone familiar with the quicksilver line of remote control boxes and can tell me where I might be going wrong?
I understand that I may be missing very important details here since there are a lot of moving parts, but I am not sure what to disclose in order to put your minds on the right track.
Hopefully someone will be able to work this one out with me.
