Remote Oil Filter kits

I was wondering if anyone has used the Perma-Cool kit # 10695 on a mercruiser? I was considering installing it on a 1993 Mercruiser 4.3lx genII and for $40 it is a lot cheaper than the $200 that Mercury is asking.<br /><br />Mark

I bought a kit from west marine for 69$ and it seems to have everything that you need to relocate it.Where does the kit yopu are talking about mount up to???Charlie

The unit mounts up to the existing oil filter base and then you can run the hoses up to 4' feet away to a remote location and mount the new filter base. I looked at West Marine and didn't see any relocation kits, when did you buy it?<br /><br />Mark
