Removal of bottom paint?

Bought a 20 walkaround fishing boat. It has bottom paint but will be exclusively trailered. the bottom and a bit on the sides are a crappy looking Blue. Is there a way to remove the bottom paint...if not all, maybe just the more visible portion on the sides, and I will do the bottom in a sharp black.

Ideally I'd love to have a clean smooth bottom, but I guess removing all the bottom paint and applying something smooth would be tremendous work

Worst case I'll sand/smooth it, and go do it exactly as it is, in Black

Try oven cleaner. On this thread http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=483913&page=45 he does an amazing job on his boat. Hope that helps

You don't want to sand that stuff if it's the anti-fouling bottom paint... poisonous.
