removal of composit shaft on a minn kota riptide

any suggestions on how to remove the shaft from the lower unit. the shaft snapped in half today and i'm heading to santee cooper in two weeks.

You must heat the bung to break the locktite loose,after you get the old one out be sure to clean the threads(service centers have a special tap that the wires go thur for this)befre you install the new one
