Remove lower unit to replace impeller.

Please give me detailed instructions on removing the lower unit (foot) to replace impeller on my 1990 Yamaha 30HP, Model 305G.

Hi, Doug, and welcome to iboats. :) <br /><br />Your best procedure is to get a Service Manual. It will provide professionally written instructions it is hard to misunderstand plus pictures and diagrams.<br /><br />It will also provide you with a wealth of other information you will need in the future.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

dissconnect the shift linkage, remove the lower to midsection bolts and off it comes. removal is straight fwd. no tricks.
